Hey allJust wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. I've been on y cocktail of heart meds for nearly 3 years. Just lately I feel like my mind isn't there. I'm forgetting things. I've forgotten to take my morning meds a few times which isn't like me or in the middle of doing something ill forget what I'm doing. Is it something I should speak to my GP or heart team about?

You could mention it as you will be no worse of for doing so
To be honest I forgot things before the medications so I am not sure if they have made me worse or not with this one but if this is not usually you then I would mention it x

Not sure what meds you’re on - but Warfarin can apparently cause brain fog, as can peri-menopause (which can occur 9 yrs before full menopause kicks in).
I had open heart surgery to replace my mitral valve last June and my brain fog has been shocking since then. If I get interrupted mid sentence, I can forget what I was saying!
I set alarms on my phone for each of my pills - (as also take a cocktail each day). H.R.T is probably the answer but am loathe to take anything else currently. Def worth having a chat to your G.P in the first instance. Hope you get sorted.
I take apixaban, a high dose of bisprolol, dapaglaflozin, furosemide and entresto. I changed from warfarin last year. Just strange how it's started happening, its probably just me. Going to try my GP in the morning. Thank you
Hi, I had brain fog before also before medication, but have just recently started Ranolazine (already taking bisoprolol, clopidogrel, aspirin, lansaprazole, Atorvastatin, Quetiapine and Zopiclone. However have gone a little more so since new medication.Hope everything will be ok🤞

Still a good idea to checked out Cherrellford, it's not unusual for certain medications to cause brain fog either, though it's a different name in the leaflets, I recent read someone's post finding things improved once finished their medication. Good luck and hope things improve for you 🤞x

Hi Cherrelleford I went through the same last year and thought it was progression of heart failure, then I was taken off warfarin, which was making my hair fall out and my kidneys fail. I was then started on Edoxaban in its place and ezetimibe lipid for cholesterol. I’m still on my H/F cocktail. The other day I realised my brain fog as gone. It was so bad I was beginning to think I was in dementia. I don’t forget things remember then forget anymore and I realised it’s since I’ve stopped warfarin.
It might be something else for you. I don’t know. Speak to your Gp or cardiologist about it. Or even your surgery pharmacist if you have one. They seem to know a lot. Mine took me off warfarin and my cardiologist is usually in agreement with them. They know our h/f cocktail so they won’t touch them but they can replace them with similar if they have to. Usually my pharmacist would pass it by my cardiologist through me or my doctor.
