Straight to the point. My remaining (not many )teeth are falling to bits. Before Covid my new dentist and I decided that several teeth would have to come out and I would have a bridge. Now ages later my teeth are falling to bits (+) and I have ‘severe heart failure ‘ /cardiomyopathy .
Now I need to know if it’s safe to have extractions and if if it would be cost effective knowing that they will cost a bomb and they are no good to my children if I leave them in my will !
I only have a private dentist because of the lack of nhs dentists round here.
In mitigation I have Sjogrens Syndrome known to decimate teeth. And had chemo five years ago.
I am trying to keep a stiff upper lip as I realise my problems are small with what is going on in the world.
Luckily I can speak without showing my teeth !

My dentist said he wasn’t happy removing 4 teeth (He read my notes !) We decided we would take another route…too complicated to describe here. I had the impressions done. Then there was a delay…no one’s fault ..so had impressions done again by which time I was getting cold feet ! However I went to try the unfinished product. It was just as described but I wasn’t terribly well by now and I said I couldn’t cope with it and gagged so much that it came flying out of my mouth much to everyone’s horror…. I think they thought I was having a fit ! Result no plate but large bill. He very kindly reduced it but it was still a lot for no end product. Entirely my fault and I was mortified.
They say you learn by your mistakes. I just keep my mouth shut now. Luckily no one has noticed anything weird.
Of course I am still awake I was very interested reading your reply and I am sorry after been billed that it did not work out but you can at least say you tried it was just not suitable for you and if no on else can tell there is anything wrong then that is a good thing to x
