Pre-op Dental checkup and imminent facial cyst biopsy

Good morning all, just been for pre-surgery dental check, bit upset I only have 3.5 of own teeth remaining due to 30 yrs of diabetes related infections abcesses etc, sorry TMI lolNow dentist wants 1 of those healthy teeth extracted as its heavily filled and cld break in future and the next to it also for removal is a retained root that my very expert wonderful dentist could NOT extricate when he tried a few yrs ago so Im having to have it done with an oral surgeon at my own dentist practice next Monday ""as a pre-emptive just in case measure""" !! Then on Thurs aft that a biopsy on facial cyst followed 3 days later by a family occasion

Stop the planet I need a rest

Lol

Rant over I know its all important

Hi JessicaRed

Gosh, stop the planet indeed, that sounds like a lot to process!!

I know it’s easy for me to say but I think you’re doing the right thing by focusing on the end result and any positives.

These procedures are to hopefully prevent a worse case situation further down the line and it sounds like you’re being looked after by a very skilled surgeon 🙂

Sending you best wishes and hope all goes well with both ops 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Take care

Hello :-)

I am sorry to hear what you are facing I know how it will be affecting you I am obsessed with my teeth lost a few at the back but you cannot tell so that does not bother me I have a bridge at the front with 5 teeth great job they did but had that a few years now and always checking it

Eventually will they be able to do something for you as dentistry now is very good at giving us back our smile :-)

But you need this done as you need your op try and stay focused on that op and then you can sort out your smile again as you will have lots to smile about :-)

I am glad you have got your appointment with the dermatologist

I am glad because I am hoping everything is ok and then that is one less worry for you I am still waiting for an appointment let us know how yours goes :-)

You will get through this one thing at a time and have a good rant and buy a solar or two for the Sunny days that will be coming your way :-) x

Hope all your extractions go well. Not a nice procedure to go through but at least they will give you no trouble afterwards. Best of luck. x

My teeth that Ive lost over the yrs have caused me so many probs and pain I dont miss them lolBut with next 2 going on Mon there wont be much bite left on bottom so prob heading for another denture set eventually
