After a few phone calls today I managed to get to the bottom of things and a different hospital is going to take my tooth, now 2 back teeth out!!!! With all the meds I take and heart condition they’re going to finally take the plunge, it’s only taken 3 separate dentists/hospitals to agree to do it.
I rang the hospital and the oral dept said ‘ it’s going to take 4-6 weeks to get the referral on the system then the waiting list’ !!!!!! Whatttttt this was urgent a few months ago 😡
I have my cardiologist phone appointment tomorrow really worried about it, goodness knows why, I’ve got some things written down, I’ll also mention the dentist.

Thank goodness....at last!! I really couldn't understand the thought process behind "if you're on heart medication you can't have dentistry" (yet another thing to make me angry this year!), But I'm glad you're finally getting somewhere! Well done!
Hallelujah Fluffybee!!! Very happy to hear you are finally going to have the dental treatment goodness knows this has been a stressful handling for you! Hope all goes well with your cardio apt, we all dread these I think yet often feel more contented having had the opportunity to raise any niggling concerns..good luck and keep us posted please x.
About time! So glad things are moving forward for you. Try not to worry about your call today. You have your questions written down, you are prepared, you'll be fine🧡. Let us know how you get on.
Hurrah! I’ve been thinking of you. It’s so frustrating not to mention painful. I’ve probably mentioned my husband is also waiting for more dental work. Every time he has something done he has to go back on the dental hospital waiting list which takes months 🤬🤯. There really is an issue for hearties and dental work. Good luck with the cardiologist today 🙏🏻🙂
Thank you, I really feel for anyone having to wait for any treatment at the moment, i hope your husband is ok ? may take time as this pandemic is getting worse and others have more pressing issues.
Hi, have seen your posts about you’re dreadful situation with your teeth etc! Sooo pleased that they have agreed to sort it for you. We should have all been made without teeth and just given a good set of dentures and done with😂
I just don't get it. I had a tooth out just before surgery (heart), the tooth broke. Since the surgery I have had the other half removed and am due to go again on 12th Jan for another root removal. All by the same dentist, all at the normal surgery and all while on heart meds. Either my dentist is a fool or all of the others are????
I’m so pleased to see you have made headway into your dental woes. Due to my multiple conditions and stupid amount of meds I have been referred to the hospital for my treatment. I was told that I would not be the release of an appointment for another 21 weeks as of yesterday. Over the past few years I have basically broken or lost nearly all of my upper teeth leaving just the two at the front and one of them is unstable. I’ve asked my dentist under instruction to put it now through as an urgent care. I’m having to have what is left and a whole denture.
Glad to hear a final result at having those teeth pulled. Just made me think about the dentistry work I've had done over the years, while not knowing until 2018 that I had a congenital heart birth defect. Hope you get on ok fluffybee. Happy New Year to you.
Excellent news! I dread to think where you'd be if you'd not been so proactive. I still cannot believe all the fuss that has been made over this - risk averse or what!
