Time for report to be issued?

I've just got an appointment for a 14 day heart monitor to be fitted. Does anyone know how long it will be before my doctor or consultant has the report? Thanks

Mine took 3 weeks from fitting it to getting the results back. I presume it might be longer this time of the year due to the rise in flu and c*vid cases. Hopefully you will not have to wait too long. You can always call the cardiology department a couple of weeks after the holter monitor to see if the consultant has had a chance to review it.

All the best.

I had a 24 hour ECG monitor and a couple of days later, an echo stress test. I was told I would have to wait 4 months for the results. How many people die waiting for results??? I know my brother in law did.

Quite varied times! I’ll keep my fingers crossed that I’m in the same boat as Tos92. I’ll post in due course. Thank you all for taking the time to answer this nervous wreck!

At the end of last year my partner waited over 4 months for the results (after being told he needed it fitted urgently and getting it within a week!) I kept calling the department every couple of weeks after the first month, but it didn’t speed up the results unfortunately.

Fingers crossed you don’t wait too long.

Thank you and I just hope I’m lucky! A long wait seems the norm.
