Hello :-)

I know sometimes some medications have caused people to have a cough I am not sure if you are taking anything that this is one of the side effects

I have not heard that a cough and sneezing is something heart failure patients get but those that read your post might be able to tell you more

They are been cautious and doing the chest x ray and I hope everything is ok when you have it done

Let us know how you get on :-) x

I can understand why your so concerned could well be to do with your heart but also could be a flare up of hayfever x definitely check with GP just to be sure hun, or maybe check with your consultant just to be safe ❤️😉

Hope everything goes well for you and you get some relief and answers. It seems like banging your head against the wall. I have had a morning cough since January and Respiratory have done nothing about it. Brian

You don't say what medication/s you are taking, but some medications have side effects like the ones you mention so you could ask your pharmacist if any of your meds could cause this

but these are things you should talk to your GP about if they are new symptoms and not improving

Heart failure has given me a cough which is getting worse as my heart failure gets worse. I don't take any medication that causes a cough.

Hi I get a cough with HF sometimes when I’m loaded with fluid and it’s usually when I’m sleeping and suddenly wake up coughing, but I don’t sneeze. I don’t suffer with hay fever so I don’t know. Speak to your cardiologist it could be one of your medications.

I’m sorry to hear that. In fact when I was at the hospital in June the doctor’s stopped my medication for a few days to give my body. Sharon

There's the Ramipril cough and there's also acid reflux. I see you take Omeprazole.

My GP stopped the Ramipril and changed to Losartan, plus doubled my dose of Omeprazole.

The dry cough is better but not completely sorted.

I don’t take Rampipril anymore the A&E doctors took me off them in June they told me I was taking far too many tablets plus I was taking tramadol and ant sickness tablets as well which I’m not on now the GP has double my Omeprazole. I expect when I go to see my heart doctor next month he probably will change them again.
