Arterial STEMI white 4 stents 12 weeks ago. For last month Been on Bisopril, ticagrelor, aspirin. Got a cough so took me off ticagrelor and put me on Pragusel and lazopiril. Been on them for just over a week…within 3 days Got bad tummy, wind, acid reflux so they upped lazopiril. Last few nights I’ve been wheezy and last night I couldn’t breathe. The cough was horrendous. I took my nitro spray and it eased a bit but this morning I’m shaky with a sore larynx. Just feel off. I’m thinking it’s the Pragusel as I take it at night. Never had this before this week Waiting on doc to come home

cough and breathing
Hi Velda,
I’m sorry to hear about your recent STEMI. I’m happy to hear you’re at home now.
It is not uncommon to experience a cough on some cardiac medications. I had a similar experience with a calcium channel blocker before changing how it was released into my system which stopped the cough. It does sound like you are having a rough time with your cough at the moment so it’s a good thing you have consulted your doctor. When is your doctor due to come home to see you?
All the best.

hi, doc is going to phone me. (Predictive text). I hope something can be done as it scared the bejusus out of us.
So Doc phoned, and told me to take the Pragusel in morning with the lanospril (2) aspirin and bisopropril. See how I get on. She said Pragusel was not known for coughs.... I said that my acid reflux was not that bad either until I started taking the pragusel and she said that yes, it can cause that😬🙄. So, lets wait and see what today brings. I have another phone app on thursday. Agh!!!!!
Strange, not heard of any of those causing a cough. The usual culprit is Ramipril, but you didn’t say you’re taking it.
