It usually tells you on the information leaflet that if you're having problems consult your doctor and he may have something else for you to take. Brian

Trouble is I don’t know which one it is that’s causing the problem.

I would still consult my doctor and he might decide to alter something for you. Hope you get things sorted out. Brian

Hi I had a similar problem 6 years ago ( pre stemi H/A). My blood pressure had sneaked up and I was put on Ramipril. All went well for a couple of months then my tummy just wanted rid of it. 🥴. The leaflet for Ramipril did not mention upset tummy, maybe it does now. My gp changed me to Losartan and haven’t had a tummy problem with it.

Fast forward 6 years and despite being a model heart patient ( well almost 😆) my body had a glitch with the b/p again. Gp told me our bodies can just get used to medication, so Losartan was maxed up and Amlopodine given. Nope to Amlopidine or felopidine, legs were like swimming pools and funny tummy.

So my body doesn’t tolerate calcium channel blockers or Ace inhibitors. Was given diuretic and an alpha blocker. I blether on, sorry. I just wanted to say that if a drug doesn’t agree with you , don’t despair ( or hang around the bathroom) ,stick your hand up and get to the gp. It can be sorted. Best wishes.

Somewhat ironically it's prescribed to protect your stomach if taking drugs like clopidogrel and aspirin. It caused me dreadful diarrhoea which stopped when I stopped taking it. Have a chatb with your GP my meds are quite different now to the ones I started on. It can take a while to get the right dose, type and combination of drugs.

As Hrty says it's to protect your stomach if you are taking aspirin and clopidogrel. My G.P. Changed it to pantoprozal which I have no problems with. Please chat to your consultant or G.P. To see if they can suggest alternative meds
