Well, most of your results are in the middle of the recommended....eg42 in the serum albulum level. most of the others are similarly placed. So in the middle looks good. I do not know about cholesterol or kidney damage.I have so called kidney damage which suddenly appeared after some surgery...not kidney...I had years ago. But a recent scan says kidneys good for age....so.....Hope that helps.

Hi Lynn, nice to hear from you. In my very limited knowledge I think it looks reasonable.

At least you’ve got some results, my surgery specialises in losing blood tests, not getting any result, last lot not labelled, yet I saw the nurse stick the labels on. On one I got the message tell the patient nothing new, what is that all about?

Do you take Statins, I gave up on them.

Hope you are well.

Hi Lynn, they don't make it easy do they?

Generally:

the total serum cholesterol should be lessthan 5 mmol/L,

Non-HDL (=high density lipoprotein) less than 4 mmol/L,

LDL (= low density lipoprotein) less than 3 mmol/L.

and Triglycerides less than 1.7 fasting and 2.3 non fasting.

They have mostly shown the recommended range in brackets after your readings.

Post surgery they often like it even lower.

Probably easiest to ask your GP or maybe one of the nurses.

What makes it tricky is that sometimes upper and lower range values are given and sometimes not.

Plus inconsistent naming e.g. HDL one minute, then high density lipoprotein the next.

Is lipoprotein the same as lipid?

On the face of it, the results look fine and the acute kidney damage warning isn't flagged up.
