Have just had a phone call from the hospital my stent has been cancelled tomorrow now because of the consultant strikes 😡

What incredibly bad timing!! Have they rescheduled or will they be looking to reschedule any time soon?

No new date. Probably get it done when I’m blue lighted in an ambulance at this rate.

How frustrating. Despite the strikes, I thought they would prioritise those that needed heart surgery/procedures.

Aw hun I'm so sorry to hear. My echo was cancelled aswell meant to have one on 24th just disappeared off there system. Hopefully will be rescheduled soon x 😌

I’m sorry to hear that. You get yourself all ready and everything organised and then it’s cancelled. The NHS is on its knees.

Yeah I know its awful! I know what it's like having a procedure cancelled aswell you sike yourself up for it and then have it rescheduled. I really hope you can have your procedure soon. It's so odd because they didn't say it was cancelled they said there's no record of the appointment even though they sent me a letter? And called me to arrange it. X

No that the frustrating thing not knowing and having to just wait again.

My suggestion... do not take the postponement lightly. It isn't your fault this has happened! Turn your disappointment and frustration into a positive outcome. So be pro-active and talk to the appointments team at your hospital or better the cardio team secretary asap and arrange a new appointment. Your justification for an early new date is that you were almost next in the queue . Do not wait until a letter drops onto the doormat or you will likely be disappointed, again. Remember if you don't ask you don't get.

Oh no, that’s a big blow. How disappointing. I’m hoping you get a quick reappointment/cancellation. Keep your spirits up, easier to say than do.

What times we live in-let’s hope there’s proper investment on the horizon so we don’t have to watch more and ongoing disintegration and back door privatisation . The profit driven exclusionary US system is surely not the model we want to adopt-there are other systems to research and use as models for reform where needed,
