My bypass op was meant to be in 2 days time but has been cancelled.
I have a very slight dry cough and they asked me to go Dr's. Just been and everything checked out fine , chest all clear , oxygen levels, temp, everything good.
Nurse rang the surgeon and anesthetist and they said to cancel 😞.
Nurse said they are hoping it will be in a years time 😒 UPDATE secretary said it will not be a years wait as I'm on her priority list x

They’ve delayed a whole year when you were due to be done in 2 days?!?! Surely not? Can you appeal this? I’m so sorry, that’s absolutely dreadful for you xxxx
They are hoping for September but as I'm now back on list for original hospital , it means it could get cancelled . Already this week the hospital have cancelled ops because of no beds and covid. Because I agreed to go to a private hospital as an nhs patient you wouldn't get cancellations there , but there's no plans at the moment for the surgeon to go back .xx
Fingers crossed you are offered another date at the private hospital (I responded to one of your previous posts about your having your surgery at the Spire.)
My fiancé only had about 10 days notice for his surgery being at the Spire, so maybe they book the consultants fairly “last minute” and you will be offered another date there (fingers crossed.)
Hi, thanks xI had a call today saying the contract with the surgeons and spire ends on Aug 2nd so will have to see if another contract happens for September xx
