Home from hospital

Utterly exhausted. Will write tomorrow to explain. More important now to reassure my dog that I'm back to stay. She cried and cried and cried when i came in. HUsband's been frantic trying to look after her and house and visiting me. We all need sleep.

Hope you are ok! No rest in hospital is there? It’s quite incredible how perceptive our pets are when we become unwell. Take care and rest up xx

I slept reasonably well on the ward except for my usual pain and the heat. How can they build a south facing ward with huge windows that don't even op en.

It's three weeks today since my CABGx4... was discharged 4 days later... seemed quick, but was glad for a quiet night.

Still very limited on my excercise... short walks still knock me for six... lots of 'Nana naps'

My dog rarely leaves my side... curled up asleep on the sofa as I type this... she's 14, so secretly enjoying a slower pace of life I think.

I'm hoping to reduce the meds and increase activity once my sternum heals... I'm going in for a review at the end of July... seems ages away. Looking forward to starting rehab classes so I can chat with others going through this - that was one of the nice things in the ward.

Good luck with your recovery... definitely helps to have support at home - both two and four legged😊🐶

And the dogs really are a huge comfort. Rehab was the one thing I desperately wanted after the heart attack but I wasn't allowed it. They said they couldn't cope with a wheelchair patient. Wishing you a quick and full recoevry.
