Phone call from hospital

Well I am so used to getting scam callers that I didn't answer so I decided to look up on the Internet who was calling it was only great Ormond Street hospital calling probably about my MRI so I tried to call back and they said we can't trace the call if its important they will call back 💔. So they haven't called back and now I am really annoyed with myself for not answering 😕.

Thanks hun I hope they do I tried calling back but didn't really get anywhere. Yeah my leg is so much better I reckon I majorly over did it x been able to take it easier today, well I did so much house work but I didn't go out anywhere so that's something. I'm hoping they will call back tomorrow or just send a letter. How are you?? X

I’m sure they will; it’s just frustrating playing the waiting game in the meantime isn’t it! Yes that happened to me the last time I missed a call, a few days later I had an appointment in the post 😁

I’m doing ok thank you, picked up a chesty cough and sound like a heavy pipe smoker every time I laugh before having a coughing fit!!

Yeah I know what you mean, I'm hoping I will get a letter soon. I just hate that I wasn't able to talk to them I hung up because I thought it was a scam and then I got like 2 more calls and they were definitely scams 🙄😅. Your so sweet to worry, Do you still think it's worth going to doctors? Sorry to hear you have a bad cough x 💔😥

I’ll be alright, I think it’s the culmination of a busy few weeks at work resulting in working overtime and little sleep whilst my youngest was poorly.

My mindset seems to be improving again now her birthday has passed and the really stressful part of work is over; also knowing I’m in the pipeline for someone to provide counselling is keeping me going because I know support is coming. At one point, I wasn’t sure if I would make it that far; I feel a bit silly for having felt that way now!!

Ring GOSH again and ask to speak to mri (imaging) appts office and they'll be able to tell you.

When I got through it was to an operator and they didn't have a clue who had called me and why, so if they don't call back I will call them and ask to be put through to MRI appointments. I wish I had just done that anyway 🙈x

Don’t worry same happened to me last week when I got a call from St Barts. They did call back again but later in the week.

I’ve had a couple of near misses, as like you I don’t answer cold calls. Luckily I remembered the dialling code for both local hospitals. Not as hard as remembering whole phone numbers.

I really hate when something like that happens. Hopefully, you will be able to get in touch with your doctors and find out results.

It seems like we are always pursuing a new doctor’s visit or a test result or a needed procedure. I need to schedule another visit with the cardiologist to review the results of the echocardiogram that I had last Thursday.

Yes I understand what you are saying. My phone sometimes comes up as Scam call. But I have on the odd occasion answered and its been an important call. I always think they will leave a voice message if urgent. Hope your day goes well. Brian

If you think it's spam, answer the phone but don't speak, the other end will end the call. Try it when you think you got a spam call again.

We now have a service that eliminates scam calls coming from an automatic dial up because the caller has to press a button before getting through. It is excellent and so we only get calls from real people. Apparently many scam callers use automatic random dialling and when someone answers then a person comes on.

I hope you get a call back. What happens when you try and call G. Ormond Street back?

Hi , I’m sure hospital will call you back. I have had that twice with Broomfield where I didn’t get to phone in time tried to call back and same message as you. They called me back both times.

I'm a bit confused about this.......

GOSH is a dedicated childrens' hospital (well it was when my son was a patient there), so why do you think it is concerning a MRI appt for you?

Hi, I understand why you would be confused. I was when I found out, because I have congenital heart disease and I'm under St barts they do all there MRIs with GOSH x
