was told last week that need a knee replacement- and am in daily discomfort so getting by with a nurofen or two.
Has anyone else needed a joint replacement? And if so how did you manage pain with any existing meds. I’ve tried diclofenac but after a week it was undermining my bisoprolol and my bp was increasing.
Tnx

I’ve had 2 hip replacements a few years ago. I take prescribed ibuprofen for another condition, so I added in paracetamol if necessary.
I just had to stop them giving me morphine which makes me really sick. To be honest the pain really wasn’t that bad, apart from some where I had staples, which disappeared as soon as they were taken out. Do discuss pain relief with your surgeon or GP before the op.
Get as strong as you can before the op and good luck.
I am also waiting knee replacement.not in bisoprolol but amlodipine, clopidogrol and asprin. Can't take anti-inflammatory so on high dose co codomal and paracetamol. I know if I manage to get the opportunity before Sept I will have to stop taking clopidogrol.
Tnx. The biso has really helped me but I definitely need help on pain with the knee. I couldn’t walk for three days last week and we’re getting married in July so need to get the pain under control and start losing weight.
