I would like to know from others how your post-SCAD recovery went, or is going.

I am a 64 year old woman and was fit, strong, healthy and happy when this thing hit me out of the blue. Its knocked me both physically and emotionally. I am 5 weeks down the line now, and getting frustrated with how tired and weak I still am.

I'm hoping this is not unusual and I know absolutely no one who has either experienced SCAD nor heard of it!! So, I look forward to hearing from any others out there who share this experience.

Hi Ruiter, I'd just like to welcome you to the forum. I'm a 63 yr old female who had a VERY unexpected heart attack followed by a triple bypass last year! Unfortunately I don't know a lot about SCAD, but I'm really glad you've joined this forum as there are so many experienced posters here and I'm sure someone, with a lot more knowledge than me, will be along soon to help! Hello Ruiter,

I am sorry to hear you have had a spontaneous coronary artery dissection SCAD.

There are a few support groups that maybe be able to help you further.

Hopefully another forum member who has had a SCAD will be along to share their experiences with you too.
