Good afternoon everyone. I’ve placed the sherry trifle on the unit in the kitchen for afters. The cheese rolls on the table along with the other savouries. I hope you don’t mind my bringing non-alcolholic gin as I prefer it these days.
Afternoon Maisie. Mmm, those cheese rolls will go beautifully with my sprouts. You're probably safe with that gin, most people (ie Lezzers) will only be interested in the alcoholic variety 
I spotted the Gordon’s non-alcoholic and thought I’d try it. It’s just as nice but without the fuzzy head. I’m dizzy enough without alcohol. Lol
You have absolutely no idea of how long I stood looking longingly at the gin in a certain store with the initials M&S and how hard it was to walk away 😭 however I did point it out to Kevin who hopefully took the hint 🤞 I did buy the port though, the bottle we'd already bought seems to have mysteriously been emptied 🤔
Please do have a rhubarb & ginger gin. Only problem is I forgot the tonic🤪

They've been on the boil since July, and I've spent this morning baking them in oil (sunflower) with onions and garlic. They taste smashing and melt in your mouth! I've also nicked several bottles of Old Speckled Hen from hubby. He won't notice. Unless there's a football match on this afternoon...
I can't stay too long as I've got to visit my mum in a hospice, but I should be able to dip in while there

Being earlier in Canada I have brought breakfast food... Stacks of buttermilk pancakes and because it is Christmas Time I made lemon butter rather that more usual Maple syrup. My father was English and I made him lemon butter each Christmas. I am loving hearing what others have brought. Peace to all.

There is just a light springle of snow now. Looks a bit like icing sugar and makes me think I should make some sugar cookies to decorate with coloured icing. Snow is pretty when fresh but not so nice when it turns to slush.
I’ve brought some very garlicky pate🤭 naughty but nice. And of course some rhubarb & ginger gin. I think Lezzers is particularly fond of it! Cheers hearties one & all🥂

My biggest worry has come to fruition and young Lezzers has spotted the gin, but lets face it I could have sealed it in a lead box and Lezzers still would have found it !

Aren’t they marmite flavoured bread sticks? You either love or hate them. A bit like sprouts really. I love Twiglets hate sprouts.
Thank you Maisie for enlightening me. I do like marmite very much so I will not hesitate to try a twiglet if one is passed my way. I will try the sprouts too as anything with enough garlic become surprisingly tasty in my opinion.

Dear puddingandpie.
They are small salt dough sticks burnt in the fires of hell for a week then painted in a black treacle made out of salt and tar { you guessed I don't like them } they are guaranteed to break a tooth or form a blockage in your throat.
Devil food avoid at all cost.

Not sure they would go with the salmon. Might try a chocolate covered one later but I need to drink a bit more first!😁

Thank you for the invite. I’ve been working on my table of delights all week for you.
I have, pineapple and cheese cocktail sticks stuck into a ball of aluminium foil in the shape of a hedgehog. Long sticks of celery filled with cream cheese. A whole cooked salmon covered in cucumber. Salmon mousse in the shape of a salmon on a bed of lettuce. Devilled eggs. Prawn cocktails. Green Jelly filled with olives and radish. Frankfurt cocktail sausages with cheese and white cocktail onions on the same stick. Crudités and lots of other classy sides. Sorry I forgot the sprouts. By the smell of the room there’s plenty here already!
Hope your all hungry. I’ll leave the desert as a surprise but I’m sure you’ll be able to guess.
I’m drinking Blue Nun and I have a bottle of Niersteiner gutes Domtal to get stuck into later.
There’s football on TV and the fidgeting husband is throwing me looks. I’ve no idea why. There’s football on every Sunday!

Sorry I'm late, just got here as I had last minute shopping to do! So, I've bought the port with me but if no one wants any I seriously won't be upset about it 😉 I've also bought a massive chocolate log so dig in, the mini Kiev's are in the oven, along with some mini pies so hopefully won't be too long!
I’ll have a small port but perhaps not until I’ve reminisced with a glass of Blue Nun, although Piesporter is slightly more refined I think. Coupled with the cheese & pineapple on sticks both should be perfect 🥳
Rosie my non-virtual dog is insisting on a non-virtual walk. I tried to convince Rosie that we should stay at the party by bribing her with virtual tidbits slipped to her when no one was looking. And also by promising her a lovely virtual walk by a creek with lots of virtual rabbit tracks in the snow to sniff . Rosie is a wonderful dog is many ways but she seems to lack imagination. So I have to leave the party to walk Rosie. It have been a great party! Thank you everyone and thank you Michael for hosting. I hope we don't leave too much mess. Here’s me late again and all out of breath. Looks as if I have come too late and just in time for the washing up and vacuuming. Gosh they have all left a big mess Michael. Never mind I will give you a hand and possibly cook you a nice breakfast containing protein which might help after the night before - all that gin!!!! Have brought dried cranberries and lots of nuts to nibble. Strong coffee called for but that might bring on the palpitations so maybe not.

hi everyone - just celebrated my aortic valves first birthday so double celebrations !
What a year I’ve had - my health has improved a zillion percent and I am doing my best to live every second !! I’ve had lunch in New York danced at a rock festival for 3 days partied with so many amazing friends , swam in the med camped under the stars , played dinosaurs and monsters with my grandchildren and welcomed my great niece into the world . Last Christmas I was just home from ohs feeling very sore and shell shocked this year I shall be rocking around the Christmas tree !!

So sorry to have missed the party I was really looking forward to it. I received a phone call at 5 am from an older friend who had fallen out of bed ,getting up in her flat and was unable to move. She had phoned for an ambulance but told she would have to wait 7 hours so I ordered a taxi and went to her flat to wait with her, and then had to wait another 9 hours in casualty before she saw a doctor and eventually got a bed. I have several vulnerable and elderly friends who live alone and we text each other morning and night to say we are ok. If they live in my town I have their keys or they have Keysafe and they have mine. If they live out of town I have their nearest family's contact numbers and they have mine. My friend is now getting a special pendant to wear around her neck to contact help in an emergency. Our own system really works as if we do not hear from each other we phone to check they are ok. Just thought others may be interested in doing this as it safeguards us all plus keeps us in touch on a daily basis.
