Not that many replied to the original post but enough to make it worth going ahead.
I will open up a new thread at 2:00pm on the 18th and let things run through till early evening. Obviously it is the World Cup Final between Morocco and Croatia (my prediction) but the timings should allow people to drop out and back in as and when.
Remember being virtual you can eat and drink what you like without guilt! 😁
See you there...

will certainly look for it! And bring it along! Hope you’re doing better Michael, do you remember posting a piece along time ago about a dog waiting at the gate’s of heaven? It was beautiful and since John died I would love to read it again but it’s been so long it’s gone.
I’ll bring some sausage rolls and a cheese and pineapple hedgehog, got to be traditional. Also a nice Chablis, bought it as aChristmas present for my son but I’ll get another bottle for him.🥳🎉
won’t be. Able to attend after all. Taking the grandchildren to buy books and Christmas clothes followed by Hotel du chocolate for a drink. Maybe next year if still here!
thanks Michael I am hand bell ringing at the Carol service leaving home at 5 so will pop in earlier. I am usually singing too but no breath for choirs this year 😪😪
can’t remember whether I replied before! Any way whether in hospital or home I’ll be with you all! Have to be in Admissions 7am this Dec 14th for revision of my prosthetic L hip. It’s dislocated 7 times. Don’t think I’ll be home by 18th, but I’ll raise a virtual glass to all us hearties.
At least my ticker is mended and in good shape, thanks to surgery 2019!
Have a good Christmas folks, well as good as your circumstances allow, and best wishes for 2023!!
feeling so nervous now! It’s hard to be positive, could do with a bit of pull yourself together really! Or just, been there done that and come out the other side! I’m fortunate here in Sussex the nurses aren’t going on strike. But why oh why can’t they be given a decent pay rise? We clapped and clapped them during Covid, now reward them with pay!!
