Hello
And he will be home
Sometimes there are these little bleeps as we say with these operations but these wonderful Consultants and Surgeons do everything to sort them out and that is what they are doing for your Uncle he is in the best place and the safest hands
Stopping worrying is not easy but you need to try and distract yourself do some yoga and meditation , go for walks , if you have friends spend some time with them the more you sit worrying won't get him home any sooner but will start making you ill
Look after yourself while they take care of your Uncle and look forward to him been home eventually x

thank you and you’ve been very supportive, I’m currently very busy with work, back and for 1 1/2 drive morning and night for a course. Luckily the hospital is close to course centre. As he’s in a hospital over 40 miles from us due it being cardiac centre. Hence the worry. I did get to see him through a door tonight and chat to him, we both nearly cried. He looks very good considering. As mentioned below had issues with staff being bit rude, but they have apologised.
Hello
I am glad you have plenty to do so you can hopefully distract yourself a little bit
I am sorry the staff were rude to you that does not help but they apologised
O bless you both but even though you both were nearly in tears you got to see each other
Carlg reply when I read it is really helpful and reassuring and I hope that has helped you to
He will soon be home and remember he looked well better than you thought
Now please take care of yourself because when he does come home that is when he really will need you and you don't want to have made yourself poorly he will have you running about which I know you will enjoy but you need to be at your best to x

thank you, I will be working all day. Mum is in and out of house with her job, max he’ll be on his own is 1 hour, but his room is next to loo and will be kept upstairs while we are in work. My mum had heart surgery and found the home bit easier.
Hello
You sound well organised and as your Mum had surgery she will be a great help even though when we get home we can all find we have a different experience how we feel but fingers crossed your Uncle will find it easier to but main thing is he will make a good recovery and you will all have a nice Christmas to look forward to x
It's quite standard to have an external pacemaker attached post surgery. I had one with the wires attached to a blue box for a few days.
It is a shame they are keeping it attached longer but I'm sure it more of a precaution.
Everyone reacts post surgery differently but he is with the trained professionals who will look after him well. Just make sure you keep asking them questions to understand and see what you can do to help (my partner got told to hold an the oxygen tank whilst I walked)
we’ve not been allowed to see him due to covid restrictions. We also got told to stop ringing so my mum phoned and basically explained we know your busy, but we went to be kept in the loop. He has speech and hearing issues.
I think I got scared after being told, by a nurse he might need a proper one. It upset me as it wasn’t officially decided. Yet when mum phoned it’s only temporary, got a little confused.
