Michael, would like to pass on his thanks for all your best wishes and kind thoughts.

Michael is now out of hospital but not quite on top of his pain as yet. He is struggling with his pain management following his stump revision.

I was staggered to hear he had been sent home with 32 paracetamol to manage the pain. They are total unsuitable for surgical wounds. Hope things are improving @MichaelJH

Hope you are starting to feel better @Milkfairy.

Thanks, Heythrop51 , I am back on the mend. I did my usual annual 8 day stint to bring my unruly vasospasms back under control.

I too hope Michael gets his pain relief sorted.

Being in pain is no fun.

Pleased to hear that he's back home, but oo-er, only Paracetamol. I would have thought something like Codeine at the very least. I've always found the NHS to be good on pain management, in fact overly so in my respect. Hopefully it will be sorted out soon.

Thank you for the update on Michael, I really hope they get the pain sorted very soon, paracetamol is for a headache not a surgical wound. Wishing him a speedy recovery char

Oh Michael, really feel for you in so much pain! I would have thought oral Morph when needed should have been prescribed. With your sensible outlook , Im Sure you’d get off it ASAP, maybe to codeine, then down to Paracetamol. Knowing the surgery is over, spoils things when pain not controlled. Do hope someone will listen, and prescribe something stronger. Then you can begin to pick up where you were before. Sending my best wishes to you

We miss your wit, your sensible comments, and knowing you are there for us all, and listen.

Come back soon, Marigold

RU sure/is he sure its not a paracetemol plus drug - eg paracetemol+tramadol? I've just been prescribed that for an osteoarthritic hip to see me through to a hip replacement next month and it's been quite effective, even at 'early doors' opener levels (quarter the max dose recommended)
