Variable PR interval

Had a cardioversion today, ecg showed NSR but with variable PR interval. Getting an ECG Monday to see if still in NSR and if it’s settled. Cardiac Nurse also discussed my latest echo and spoke about me having a bicuspid aortic valve but they keeping a close eye. Anyone have any experience of either issue? Thanks feeling worried.

Hello :-)

I have not had any experience with this but I wondered when reading your post how your appointment went ?

I hope it went as well as it could do :-) x

Hi BeKind, I ended up in hospital with breathing problems same night as kept going into fast AF. Was kept in and monitored and on Sunday took my Dronederone as planned but saw cardiologist at lunchtime who said dronederone not working or cardioversion so he wanted to put me back on digoxin and said to nurse to give me a high loading dose. Took that then three hours later had a cardiac arrest. Lucky was in hospital as was resuscitated and put up on CCU. Now waiting on an angiogram just to rule out blockages then if clear getting a synchronised pacemaker with Defibrillator. My EF on my last echo showed a decrease in my EF from 44% to 32% so I hope this will improve everything for me. Been a scary time but hopefully hope for feeling better ahead.

What a frightening time! I hope the pacemaker does the trick for you.

Hello :-)

My goodness me I am so very sorry to read this how frightening for you but thank goodness you were in the right place at the right time as we say

I hope the angiogram goes ok and there are no blockages but at least on a positive as we need to find one they can get everything done while you are in there

I am so glad I saw your post and asked how you had got on and I know you may struggle to reply but I am genuinely interested in you updating me how things go when you can

If you need to talk you know where we are :-) x

Thank you so much. I’m being well looked after and just praying this makes a difference so I can enjoy life again, longer walks and continue working until retirement. I’m blessed to still be here.
