Morning Yes I take mine and my mini aspirin at night with no problems, I’m on 1.25, have a good day 😊

Dear Thanks55

Hello to you and what a fantastic morning it is so far,

In answer to your question , I have changed to taking the Bisoprolol in the evening now, but that is after running it by my heart nurse first, which is important to do first {or your Dr}

Take care

Hi there I took my Tablets including Bisoprolol in the morning , I asked cardio rehab team if it was ok to change to evening’s and was told no problem at all, possibly beneficial as some of my tablets ( don’t know what ones) work better while resting. I would still ask cardio or GP first, stay well.

Hi,I can’t see why not. 🙂

I take bisoprolol at night , before going to bed & have since I started taking it so my symptoms are less disruptive when trying to sleep.

You really need to ask GP/Cardiologist as it depends on what other meds you take and when you take them!

That’s what I was hoping it would work on me when I needed it most thankyou

You really should check with your GP/Cardiologist.

I had to move one of my other meds to midday so my BP didn’t drop too low.

I take mine at night and have done for ages. I did discuss it with my heart failure nurse first.

Hi, I take mine in the evening on the advice of my cardiologist. I'm on 5m and I find it also helps me sleep too.

I switched to taking it at bedtime along with my Warfarin. It may be psychological but I feel better doing it this way. It also breaks up the amount of tablets I have to consume first thing!

Hi Thanks55

I have now switched to taking the Bisoprolol at night. I have only been on this med for three weeks, so still experiencing a settling in period.

I wasn’t sleeping at all well & after reading other members suggestions rang my pharmacist. She was quite happy for me to switch from morning to night as long as I took the Bisoprolol at the same time!

This seems to have worked perfectly for me, though, still wake up very early next morning 5-5.30am - doable as long as I try to get to bed around 10.30pm ish……

Take care 😊

Hi,My consultant has prescribed that I split my dose.

I take 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the evening (10 in total).

Check with your medical team though.

Hi Thanks55, I have been taking my Bisoprolol on a morning for 2 years now. I’ve now been in Australia for a week and have 4 more weeks to go (seeing my daughter and enjoying a holiday) and I’ve just realised I’ve swapped from taking my tablet from morning to night. I haven’t had any reaction to the change and I haven’t consulted my doctor. So I guess it’s ok. I must say I have forgotten to take my tablet two or three times over the years without any reaction so I think the medication takes a while to leave your system. 👍

I used to take mine at night but switched to the morning on advice of my heart failure nurse. This was because I was getting very vivid dreams that sometimes bordered on nightmarish. It seemed to help. Obviously different people experience different side effects and so its a case of juggling what works best for you. But definitely discuss with your nurse or doctor first.
