Like everyone on here I take a lot of different meds every day. My Gp has just increased one of them which now means I take all in the morning at breakfast and just my statin at night
My question is can I take the statin in the morning with everything else ? Or is there a reason not to

They usually advise statin in evenings as they are used by your body better. Most take them with evening meal
If it’s Atorvastatin, yes you can take it in the morning, as I do, and yes I did check it my GP before switching (I switched because I believed it gave me disturbed sleep). Simvastatin I think is advised you take in the evening (my wife takes that one!).
Because I have to take several different pills at various times of the day I use pill organisers. I have one for my morning pills, one for my warfarin and another for my evening pills, that way I don’t have to worry about whether I have taken them or not.
Hi. I take my medication at different times and my statin only 3 times per week. If it’s about organising them and remembering I have downloaded an app that sets reminders which I have found invaluable. Prior to that I had put them in my electronic diary. But that got too full! Like others have said usually statins are taken in the evening. Hope this helps. Best wishes. Zena
Hi Nanne I use my therapy app but if you search the App Store with medication or pill reminder there are 3 or 4 available that are free to download. I find it really helpful especially for the odd times medication! Hope that helps. Zena
My cardiologist said to take my statin ( Atorvastatin) in the morning as it can cause nightmares. Other docs say take it in the evening. I have recently had problems and my statin has been increased to 80mgs a day so I split it between morning and night and haven’t had any bad dreams. My cardiologist is quite relaxed about when to take my other tabs ( ACE inhibitor, aspirin and a beta blocker). He says some of the info that drug firms put about is, quote, tosh! I trust him so I will go by what he says.)
