Hi Andy, I hope you are feeling better.,I stopped taking Ticagrelor last December, agreed with my Cardiologist and changed to Clopidogrel. I suffered with nausea, vomiting and dizziness on Ticagrelor and have been able to tolerate Clopidogrel much better. I do hope you find the same. Take care, Judi
Hi Judi,Thanks of the response. I have to say even at first light and day one of the switch (took new med last night), I feel different and more energised....
Hi AndyI'm on clopidogrel, have been on it for a few month now, never had any side affects, but about 10 days I suddenly woke up with dizzy spells, and have still got them now a few of my friends have had it,
Thanks Neil,Thats good to know. Hopefully yours will ease off.
Only 5 months left on them for me, so hopefully can manage.
They have said they are scanning me for Liver damage, as they think that could also cause the dizzy spells.... Not sure if your GP has looked at that? My Liver function was way up, but on a pretty good diet.
I had high liver results after HA & stent, and was sent for ultrasound which revealed a lesion but was not a concern. It took 3 years for my liver results to return to normal levels. That was 9 years ago now.
I couldn't tolerate ticagrelor because it made me feel as if I had asthma and couldn't get a deep breath. It was changed to clopidogrel which was fine. No problems at all.
