Have you sought medical advice, we can only compare things to our own experiences. But the symptoms you describe are very similar to what I experienced, but ignored for quite a while until I collapsed whilst driving. The fluttering was due to me having AV blockage which resulted in me having a dual pacemaker fitted. Please don’t ignore your symptoms seek medical advice ASAP.

Doctors always seem to play down palpitations unless they are accompanied by other symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath or dizziness. If in doubt, get it checked out - you know what's normal for you. I had palpitations several times a day from October to December but no other symptoms. I'm still waiting for the results of a blood test, but my doctor doesn't seem to be concerned.

That so annoying but hopefully it’s nothing I’m definitely going to get a cardiologist referral from my gp too better safe than sorry

Took me almost a year to get answers about my palpitations I had ECGs, a 24hour monitor and nothing showed. Finally had a stress test and still nothing. However when they sat me down to rest, they happened to leave the electrodes attached and thankfully I had a big run of palpitations so they were finally able to see where they came from and assured me they we re totally harmless. When they don't happen all the time, it can be really difficult to catch them. An ECG only shows that couple of minutes. I would suggest at least a 3 day holter monitor or a stress test. Mine were years ago but I just had a monitor fitted on Christmas Eve; only for 24 hours because I'd started getting bouts of fluttering rather than just missed beats. I didn't have to wait long for it.

So what was the diagnosis and treatment. Thanks.

NO diagnosis. Just that they were completely harmless like electrical hiccups. No treatment at all. That was a good 20 years ago now. I still get them occasionally but they've never caused a problem. Anxiety makes them worse. I had a heart attack 3 y ears ago but that had absolutely nothing to do with the palpitations.
