Chest Pain and dizziness

Hi all. I know it's been a while since i posted, been reading all your posts. Sorry in advance for a long post.

For the last few week I've been having chest pains on and off. I went to A & E and obviously waiting ages for my blood test, but they didn't turn up. While i was waiting, i collapsed and the dr's came and took me to the emergency ward. They did all the tests ECG...etc. Unfortunately, the bloods they took had haemolysed, so they had to do them again. Everything came back ok, and i was sent back home and was advised to see gp for a referral to chest pain clinic. That came back for the gp to offer something else. So booked an appointment to see gp. A few days ago, i had niggly chest pain in the morning, thought nothing of it and carried on with my day, so i went out shopping but started feeling faint and dizzy and the pain was still there, so i quickly went home and rested for while.

I was feeling better, then i had my gp appointment. When i got to the surgery i waited for my name to be called, but started feeling faint and dizzy again, so i lay down in one of the rooms and the dr did some tests (bp, temp, blood oxygen......) it was ok.

I was advised to go to A & E to get checked out, as also i had a head injury a few months ago.

I really don't k now what's going on. Has this happen to anyone before, and what was your outcome, i know everyone is different, but hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks

No one has replied therefore probably no-one has had a similar issue.

Personally I feel that you need to go back to your surgery, perhaps asking for another doctor and a double appointment. Write down everything you need to say and take a trusted friend with you, who can note down the doctor’s response so that you don’t have to worry about what’s being said.

I suspect it might take a bit of time to get an appointment so in the meantime practice controlled breathing as relaxation and ensure you are properly hydrated.

Thanks Happyrosie.I understand this is a long winded question , but I did see 2 gp's and they just said to go to A & E. I didn't want to waste their time at the hospital if they can't find anything. I do have Angina also, and have had angiogram's, and echo.

I do my breathing exercises on a regular basis and do try and stay hydrated.

Thanks again for replying.

I might just take myself up to A & E, to see what they say.

If this was me I’d be putting in a complaint to the practice manger.

I have been feeling a little light headed myself in the last few days. Not sure why. I do try to drink a lot of water (and tea) but I have cut right down on sugar and salt intake. I am actually wondering if I am starting to have low salt levels. I did add some salt to my porridge last night (love it or hate it) and did not feel as bad or for as long today. Just a thought!

Thanks for the info SuddenShock. Unfortunately I can't add salt to my food as I'm on bp medication, but sounds tasty.I did eventually get to a&e and everything is ok. 😀

My iron level are really low. So food for thought. 🤔

More supplements or tablets from gp.

I'm just glad it's nothing serious now, but annoyed they they never got to the bottom of my issue.

It would be so good if everything was fixed without any meds or supplements, but that's in another world.😄

Hope you get better soon. Take care.

I am on BP meds as well butI do have concerns that sometimes the meds work just a little too well especially when you have tried to actively make changes due to the sudden shock of diagnosis.

Glad that you are sorted out.

I am due for CABG on Tuesday, I don't want to upset you but I am having Chinese for tea tonight and possibly full fat coke just in case its my last!!!!

Yeah I think you're right about the meds.Well I hope everything goes well on Tuesday, and don't stress about anything.

That made me laugh😄, but i think we all think like that, most times.

Just enjoy life, but I'm the same. I try and stay happy and enjoy life, just in case it's my last, too, and the thought of no more illness.😊
