hi all I had heart attack 2003 1 stent no problem until 2020 swollen legs took surgery 3 weeks to finally diagnose heart failure telephone consult in November 2020 echocardiogram in september suggested angiogram then 2020 followed by Cardiac MRI in 2021 saw consultant in november 2021 have to have CT scan and still waiting for angiogram after 14 months also waiting fo r ICD anyone any idea how long is wait

Difficult to say. about your waiting time. COVID has messed so much up. "Heart failure" is such a misleading term, when it really refers to inefficiency, which may only be mild.
Can you contact your GP or cardiologist with a gentle reminder?
The heart nurses on the BHF website may be able to provide more useful guidance.

Have you a letter from the Hospital with a telephone number ?
You could try giving them a ring and asking they might be able to give you some idea how long it should be x

I think a lot depends on the level of your HF do you know what ICD they are talking of installing ? I believe you need to be either Urgent or on Max Meds before they fit one !! and of course meeting the criteria as published by NICE. Appointment for Cardiologists seems to be improving if the Covid restrictions are lifted at the end of the month maybe clinic appointments will improve.
