Dapagliflozin - any experience?

Hi All,

I’ve just been prescribed Dapagliflozin and was wondering what peoples’ experiences with this drug are?

My understanding is that it’s only recently been approved for use in heart patients, and is primarily a diabetic drug (I am not diabetic).

Anyone got experience with this medication?

Hi, I am also on it. I had my STEMI on 25th Oct with low EF now. My private cardiologist said it has now been approved for heart failure patients as it has shown long term benefits. I am also non diabetic and I have not had any side effects.

Hi. This is probably a useless reply. I have been on dapagliflozin for about 6 months, given because of heart failure, but I am also diabetic and it was part of a large number of medication changes I was undergoing at that time. The only effects I have found are that I am able to breathe a lot better now. But that is probably down to the other 12 meds I am also taking as well. As I said a useless reply except no side effects noticed
