Post Angioplasty upper arm pain

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this sort of pain in the upper part of the arm. I am 6 weeks post procedure and I have seen the Cardiac rehab Nurse who said it could be nerve damage. I don't want to bother the GP if it's going to settle down but it's not improving. It's painful when I try to bend my arm forward to put on a shirt or coat. Anyone else experienced this?

This is very common. I assume you are on a new drug regime. Some drugs(thinners) make one more susceptible to bruising and the angioplasty is invasive. The pain is probably internal bruising coming out. Paracetamol will relieve the ache but if it persists go to your GP.

I am less than 2 weeks post angioplasty (2 stents) and my whole arm feels twisted and deeply sore. I worry I will never be able to lift things or play tennis. I see the cardiac rehab nurse for the first time tomorrow and am seeking, like you, some reassurance.

I hope you get some reassurance that it will be okay. I must admit mine isn’t much better but I am told that it takes a long time. Hope your appointment goes well.
