Heart disease and Travel

WHO has just recommended that people over 60 with heart disease should cancel any travel arrangements owing to this new virus. Can anyone give me an update on whether they have booked travel for Christmas or the new year and if they are deciding to cancel Thanks

This is for anyone not vaccinated. Which I totally agree with. If it was left to me anyone not vaccinated should be quarantined.

Care to explain this remark ?

While people with Gil's mindset should be a serious concern to us all, I try not to worry about it. I'm confident it is a problem that will resolve itself in a relatively short period of time.

Would you like to expand on that comment? Why do you think people who have "Gils' mindset" should be of serious concern to us all??? Seems like complete common sense to me to be honest. Maybe you can explain why it isn't?

I f you have a look like gilreid1 has said it is for unvaccinted people or those who haven't had covid. Where were you thinking of going? Regards Sheena

Thank you all for replying . Hoping to visit my daughter in Scotland for Christmas and a cruise early January . This was all booked before the new virus came to our knowledge. It’s a really difficult decision even though we are triple vaccinated . I can understand WHO being concerned as many people over sixty can be vulnerable with not only heart disease but other health problems as well. I can only say from my experience from the two flights I have taken during the Covid time that I felt safer in the air because the conditions were really regimented than in the average supermarket

If the government don't rule travel out it will be your choice, I hope you can go and you enjoy your self 😉 regards Sheena x

Hi, I'm supposed to be going to london next Thursday then harwich but i can't decide whether to go or not, I've been triple jabbed but it's this new variant and the crowds making me anxious, but do we allow covid 19 to rule our lives, if I go I'll just have to be extra careful, if you decide to go take all precautions and have a pleasant trip
