All health conditions must be declared to the insurance company... if you're still under investigation you may find it difficult to get insurance, so might be best to wait until that's all sorted
If you took out travel insurance before your diagnosis you will need to advise your insurance company of the change in your medical circumstances. If you don't do that your insurance cover might be invalidated in whole or part. If your provider requires a top up to the premium you have the option to either pay it, or cancel the cover and you should get a refund of some sort on the period of cover remaining. Latter will apply in any case if they decline to cover.
Good morning, I can speak from VERY recent experience. We were on s 14 night cruise and I was taken off the ship last Friday feeling ill (all OK following 3 nights in hospital)
We are still stuck in Majorca as ship sailed without us.
Insurance company have been absolutely fantastic, putting us up in 2 different hotels
Medic is flying out today to assess me for flying home tomorrow, escorted by him.
This all follows HA last September and diagnosis of severe HF with EF of 5%.
I was already with STAYSURE and updated them when diagnosed
