Strictly Come Dancing heartie

Sad news that Robert Webb has had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing due to ill health. As some of you may know, he had Mitral Valve Repair surgery 2 years ago & wanted to do Strictly to show how well he had recovered & to keep fit.

Having had the same surgery, I really feel for him & wish him well. He is an inspiration for us hearties

I was wondering what surgery he’d had. I think it was a good call on his behalf to admit that it was one step too far! We can’t all be Fred Astaire…..oldie reference!

Keep it real and call it when you need to. Good advice by Robert Webb. Hope he’s well now he’s stopped dancing 🕺🏼

It's such a shame, but many of us simply don't recover our fitness after a heart attack. My cardiologist assured me I'd feel so much better after I had a second stent put in. I didn't. I'm proud of a fellow heartie for joining Strictly, and equally proud of him for admitting defeat.

I agree, such a shame. I had the same surgery four months ago and he was my inspiration! It was obviously a step too far. I wish him good health in the future hoping he can dance again but in a much less extreme way

Shame he has had to pull out but on the other hand it's not worth risking your life for a dance competition. Well done to him!
