For the best cover I would recommend StaySure and AllClear. They are not the cheapest but have less exclusions and get out clauses. Unfortunately once you join the *Hearties" the US and Caribbean are wallet busters! ☹️

As Michael says staysure. Just renewed mine for EU and Turkey 15 months for the price of 12 unlimited travel and includes my wife. They tend to cost less after two years post procedure

Good morning Hamishmac. Yes Stay Sure or All Clear. I found it best to ring and speak to someone about your health conditions. With some after 2 years they don't need considering So makes the premium cheaper. My last policy was 2 years ago and I have C.K.D. COPD. and a Pacemaker and a yearly policy for upto 90 day breaks in Europe was about £400. Which was double since my pacemaker and copd diagnosis. Hope this helps. Brian

Hi, I'm insured through my Bank Account, as part of the monthly fee. The pack also includes RAC Breakdown cover.Any changes to mine or my wife's health, I keep them informed, and as yet, I have no additional charges to pay.

Costs £150 pa on the account, which I would be paying for in any case, so travel insurance is effectively at no cost.

Hi Hamishmac. I am also back with Staysure and have used them along with Explorer for medical cover travel insurance. Both have good cover for visiting Europe and I also have crossed off Caribbean for now due to cost. Worth noting that it is cheaper to exclude some European countries including Spain and Greece from annual policies if you don't intend to go there. Something to do with the higher number of general claims in the past with these countries. I also found a few single trip policies can be cheaper than an annual one depending on the number of trips you plan to make. I have definitely stuck to that for two trips this year. Also check the small print for extra cover if you plan doing something a bit adventurous including altitude limits on the standard policies.
