Intermittent Pain in left side of chest

Hi All

Hope you are all doing during the pandemic

I’ve had a strange intermittent pain come on in chest and don’t know what it could be it’s a really strange feeling

I decided to come in to A&E and get it checked over

Any thoughts all?

Could be a lot of things from indigestion or muscle strain upwards. Going to A&E sounds like a good move if you can't get help from your GP. The 111 helpline can sometimes be useful.

Hi thanks Trishe they did all the tests but nothing showed up and I still had pain and left with nothing not even medication!!!

HiI had a HA and two stents in Dec 2020, I still have random pains in my chest, would be interested to know what the doctor says about this condition as my doctor says its not another HA but did not give me an explanation.

The same it’s a mystery it still hurts but everything came back showing nothing

Marie. I have this as well - not too painful but a weird pain that sometimes goes under the arm to the back. Only lasts a minute or so but frequently throughout the day. Quite unnerving and disturbing. I have " assumed " prinzmetals and this pain is likely related. I have a routine echocardiogram and ECG in 10 days, so will explore with the Heart Centre. Please let us know your own findings as they need evaluating. Take care.

Thanks nothing showed up but I still have pain it is unnerving I am going to speak to my cardiologist

Hi Marie, I have been having chest pains like that also for quite a long time, although mine tend to be quite Sharp. Only last for a minute or two. Sometimes just above my left breast, or to the left side. I have been many times to A&E, and am always being told it is Musculoskeletal (hope spelling correct)and it happens to many people.

Hi Iv been back and fourth to the drs and hospital with weird pain in left chest but I can’t tell if it triggers from left boob under boob or left armpit but it makes me feel sick some times Iv had scans tests all sorts but nothing showed up I wonder if it’s any scarring pain from ablation a couple of years ago for Svt??
