Bisoprolol Fast AF

I have just been diagnosed with fast AF again (my third time). Before I had cardio version treatment both times and this worked. Now it has come back again, the consultant is now looking to give me a cardio ablation. I was on 5mg of Bisoprolol and this has been increased to 7.5mg. Also been prescribed Apixaban blood thinner. My question is, now I'm waiting for new on my procedure, I feel quite ill and breathless - will the increased dose of Bisoprolol make me feel better? (would go to A&E if I felt a lot worse).

Thanks

You need to speak to your Consultant

I feel tired and was breathless for around 4 weeks on 5mg of Bisoprolol after Afib /svt episode that had me in A&E. my heart rate went down between 50-65 but now it’s creeping back up and still extremely tired and feeling light headed again too. I’m guessing my dose of Bisoprolol will increase if it keeps going the way it’s going. I hope you ablation gets done soon and works first time. I am hoping for this too. Hate taking tablets ☹️
