Sleeping aids with ectopics

Does anyone know if I can take kalms or similar to help me sleep . I have ectopic heartbeats which have been going all week and I can’t sleep and feel so lightheaded. I am waiting to have holter monitor after spending 5 days in hospital. I am taking thyroxine and magnesium. I have a low pulse in mid 40s so not suitable for beta blockers. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum! You really need to ask this question of your GP or cardiogist. All heart patients should check with a medical professional before taking any supplements. Some like St John's Wort or Tumeric are potentially dangerous.

There can be issues with blood thinning medication like Warfarin. Here's a link to what the BHF say:

I'm safe there as I no longer take Warfarin as I had an Amplatzer amulet fitted four years ago.

A newspaper article on supplements said just to buy the cheaper ones apart from turmeric where it is worth paying more. A brand name would have been helpful.
