Hi, i’m new around here and was hoping for some advice from anyone who has experienced similar. 24HR R-test has shown episodes of sinus bradycardia mid 40’s with sinus pauses of <3 secs. Longest was 2.1secs. I believe these were during sleep. I’ve been told this can be normal and anything less than <3 secs for a pause doesn’t need treatment.
Anybody ever experienced similar? As much as they say don’t worry believe me i am!

My resting heart rate was sometimes as low as 34 and I also had the 24 hour monitor which showed my heart stopped for around 2 seconds when I slept. I have been monitored
by the cardiologist since 2012 . At first he wasn’t really steering me towards having the pacemaker but now I’m 64 he started pointing out that things will get worse with age etc. I put it off as long as possible but have now had the pacemaker 8 weeks ago. All is going well.
As far as the cardiologist is concerned under 3secs is normal even in healthy people. Which is reassuring but also still scary! It could be due to high vagal tone. I suppose i just gotta trust the process. Thanks for the feedback guys
I had a loop recorder fitted as I'd had a few faints, I could feel missed beats especially when lying in bed before getting to sleep, this was called wenckebach which they didn't seem to fussed about but after 3 month the loop showed a 15 second pause! I've now got a pacemaker fitted so rate doesn't drop below 50 at night and 60 through the day. 6 week post op now and its been a really positive experience. I'm 41.
Yeah sometimes i can get these feelings when falling asleep, usually at the point when i’m drifting off. Never had a sleep study mentioned. Could be worth mentioning about
29male. I also have this. My pauses are from 3 seconds to 7.
Electrophysiologist said its OK, suspects increased vagal tone.
It worries me. I have nights with just 2 secs and nights with longer. I bought a holter myself from ebay, it shows pauses each night accurately.
My walking around hr is 52 or 55. In the 50s during the day, when laying still I'm in the 40s, at night it stays in the low 40s,but I do get the pauses.
Further reading suggests rem sleep bradyarrhythmia as the name of this unknown thing we have.
Some have gotten pacemakers, I would spend the 200$ for a holter so you can monitor your pauses. The thing is there are days and days so it's good to have it one every night for 1 month so you can see what happens.
Please reach out to me with anything about this, further reading or whatever, I will also share anything I find out and what I can accomplish at the doctors.
Sleep study confirmed there pauses happen only in rem sleep stage.
