Ticagrelor. I have recently started taking this tablet and found I sometimes struggle breathing and find myself gasping. Has anyone experienced the same. Thank you.

Hi thank you for the reply. I have been taken off clopidrogel as it wasnt effective enough for me. I will mention to GP and see what they suggest. 💕

Same here it has been 3 wks after HA and two stents. I am on asprin, bisoprolol, antorvastatin, tecta, ramipril and ticagrelor. It is quite hard to seperate recovery quirks from drug side effects especially when they put you on so many at once. In the beginning i was having tightness in chest, nose bleeds and migrain like headaches. My gp took me off the more likely perpetrator and for two days i was on clopidogrel (plavix). That one hit me hard with extreme fatgue and my head was spinning. I went back to ticagrelor myself. Headaches and nose bleeds stopped but the constant stomach cramps, not being able to get a deep breath and tightness in my chest still persists. I am fed up with trying to get well and dragging these side effects like a ball and chain behind me. The ticagrelor does have tightness in chest and depression which are the most prominent two for me. The stomach cramps could be any of them or the combination. I see you had a problem with plavix generic too let me know what they will try next for you. Here the doctors all say ticagrelor is their first choice but i am really wondering why that is when so many have the nasty side effects.

Yes I’m the same. I just put up with it. It’s not as bad now I’m on the lower dose.

I was on it for a couple of weeks and had a terrible time with it, bad itching, muscle aches and chest pains so I stopped and switched to Clopidogrel
