Hi Nancy1930,
Thank you for your post. With heart failure, feeling breathless is a known symptom of the condition and continuing on your prescribed medications can help you to manage your symptoms a bit better. However, if your symptoms worsen please do get in touch with your medical team.
With regards to your concerns about the coronavirus, we know that you are at no greater risk of developing it than anyone else and you may reduce your risk further by following the current advice provided by the government and the NHS. For information on how to reduce your risk further, I would suggest you take a look at our information page nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...
I would also recommend that you keep a close on the NHS nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir... and Government webpages, as they are updating this information daily: gov.uk/government/topical-e...
Hope this has been helpful. However, if you would prefer to have a chat with one of our cardiac nurses regarding your concerns, then please do not hesitate to call the heart helpline on 0300 330 3311 or email hearthelpline@bhf.org.uk. Phone lines are open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

Hello Nancy,
I have CHF, and take similar tablets to you. I can't understand why you take spirolactone as well as furosomide. They are both diuretic drugs. You must be passing an awful lot of water. I also take half a 2.5mg bisoprolol tablet I was given this drug to lower my heart rate. I also take 2.5mg of cilazapril (similar to ramipril) if my blood pressure rises. I also take 2x600 mg potassium tablets twice daily, When I had my heart problems, I was found to be low on potassium, one 100mg aspirin tablet (which I take at bedtime), and one 300mg roxithromycin tablet. (this is an anti-biotic). I also have COPD and have an assortment of inhalers to use.
