Corona virus after bypass surgery

I’m approaching 72. Had a triple bypass in July last year. Also have under active thyroid. Am I in a high risk category?

Any of us with cardiovascular disease and/or high blood pressure are more vulnerable.I know you've been treated but the tendency for blocked arteries remains.It's a worrying time for us hearties.

Yes, definitely. A bypass treats coronary heart disease but doesn't cure it, sadly, although a healthy lifestyle will help.

Take care of yourself, wash your hands a lot and avoid crowds!

You could also call one of the nurses tomorrow. Please do not Google as there is an ever growing amount of rubbish appearing such as take cold showers and eat garlic although the garlic may help with social distancing! 😊

Never use google anyway for the privacy issues and rip-off business practices. There are other more ethical search engines.
