There is a lot on the news about washing hands and cleaning surfaces etc to beat the virus, but nothing about foods building resistance and helping heal illness, will someone on a vegan diet have much resistance. I have some vegan family and wondered if anyone knows. I don't know too much about the vegan diet.

Corona-virus
Supplementing with vitamin c eating Brazil nuts pumpkin seeds seaweed spirulina tumeric ginger garlic yoghurt lots of green vegetables.
Sorry but I have to sound a note of caution here.
Tumeric can interact adversely with many stomach protection medications like Omeprazole. It also is not advised for people on blood thinners, like Warfarin, as it thins the blood further potentially resulting in a serious bleed.
Also with Warfarin green veg can affect INR and the amount eat must be stable.
Had no idea, cause heard Turmeric is good for Heart and my Dad has too so got some ages ago which just sprinkled some on my dinner today I'm on low dosage Aspirin.
Here's one reference:

Righteo, cause yeah I just read was good so ofc naturally wanted to get some and been using it here and there I am on the lowest dose of Asprin but ok I shall stop I wonder what other interactions there is cause only one I know is Grapefruit though never had though I check in fruity drinks. Also apparently really shouldn't have Ibruprofen which is an inflammatory painkiller so sucks if in pain or have an infection as can only have like Paracetamol or Co Co Codamol that being saidwhen came out hospital I was on children Ibruprofen which is weird if it's that bad then again cause children's prob low dose so not bad and also know an ex colleague who takes Ibruprofen and she has a Heart problem think hole on heart and has a Pacemaker
I have just read that the virus can spread 6-7 feet through the air and am freaking out. I was recently at a hospital where a portion of the corridor was cornered off whilst they transferred viral patients. I then had to walk through the corridor 2 mins later. I think we should be wearing face masks and avoid going out.
So long as you are sensible you can live very well on a vegan or plant based diet.I'm eating mostly vegan and have been since July and I haven't seen an increase in infections.
