What medicine is prescribed for Wild Type Amyloidosis?

Hi all,

My father also has Wild Type Amyloidosis and I'm wondering what treatment you have been prescribed? He doesn't live in the UK and has been prescribed Tafamidis (very expensive, so we need to go through the courts). We may need to import something else, so just wondering what has been used in the UK?

Many thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum! This is quite a rare condition so I am not sure if there is a member with experience of it. The drug prescribed appears to be one of best available for your father's condition. I would suggest you give the BHF nurses a call. Good luck!
