The majority on this forum are very much concerned about your husband and you. We sincerely hope today brings better news. Do keep us updated as and when you can. Depending on their beliefs people are praying, crossing their fingers, sending virtual hugs, etc. to you and your family.
I would also like to offer apologies on behalf of the forum that your original post/tread was locked. Unfortuneately sometimes threads go off at a tangent and become potentially argumentative. At this stage the moderators usually chose to lock them. For information HeartStars do not have the ability to delete posts or lock threads.
Could I ask forum members to use this thread for Bantam12 to give us updates as and when, and to offer appropriate support.

Thank you Michael, Helen and everyone else who has sent me messages, it means a lot to be able to talk to people who understand.
My daughters visited me over the weekend but life has to go on so they are all back to doing what they have to do which is fine 🙂
The latest from Papworth is there is no change, he's still on the ventilator and they are struggling to treat and reverse the Ischaemia because he is to ill for another major op.
I dread calling the hospital every day, every time the phone goes I think it's them and the call that I'm anticipating keeps going round in my head, I can't visit him as I'm having my pacemaker done tomorrow but I'm ok 😘
I'm sure having a pacemaker is the last thing you want at the moment! Good luck with tomorrow and I hope you soon have some good news about your husband.
Best wishes for tomorrow. Remember your husband us in good hands, Papworths communication may leave a lot to be desired but the care & treatment will be first class. Try & concentrate on yourself at the moment & let us know how things are as & when you can xx
Thanks, not great here, my pacemaker insertion went well but oh boy was it a brutal experience, I've had many operations and some of them were major but the pain from this has been off the scale !! and the bruising is spectacular, had to have more X-rays because breathing is so painful but at the mo clear for pneumothorax, although I'm not convinced !
Hubby had to have an emergency tracheostomy on Thurs, he has multi organ problems which they are trying to manage but the outlook is very grim, they keep asking if I can go up there but there's no way right now, I can't risk it ☹️

Yes, unfortunately, the risk is too great at the moment to visit your husband which must be so very difficult for you. Have you told your children? They may want to visit your husband as you're not able to do so. Xx
Middle daughter is planning to go up to Papworth tomorrow but I really need help here so we have to discuss it ! Youngest came home Friday night to help me but she has to go back to Uni today, all a bit of a disaster.
So very sorry to hear that you’re in so much pain and about your husband Thinking of you and your husband. What about writing a note to your husband and ask one of the nurses or a family member to read it to him. Sometimes patients in intensive care can occasionally hear things that get through to them or record a message for him so it can be played to him. Just a thought. Oh Lordy so sorry to read this. You really are between a rock and a hard place. So difficult to make a decision whether to travel to see your husband or not with your own health concerns.
I do hope you feel better in yourself very soon and it is good that your husband is being well looked after in a centre of excellence.
Thinking of you both! When my mother was in a coma and I ran out of things to say (you can't ask about lunch) I took in a CD player and some of her favourite albums. They say music gets through better than other sounds. The logistics may be challenging though.
