Hello and welcome to the forum! You have my sympathy - I was in hospital with BPPV (Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) for four days three weeks ago. My BP really shot up. Ideally your BP could do with being slightly lower. Would your GP object to a low dose ACE inhibitor? Also a 24 hour monitor might be a good idea.

Hi Dave

I agree with what Thatwasunexpected has said, blood pressure should start off lower in the morning and should return to a similar reading in the evening. Your morning and evening reading are within the 120/80 recommended figure. The afternoon figure is not exceptional high, but the main thing is your BP returns to the normal range in the evening. During the day BP reacts to what you're doing, so if you went out for a brisk walk your BP would rise, but once you'd finished your walk your BP would return to a lower level than it was before the walk and probably stay lower for the rest of the day.

Interesting thing blood pressure 😊

Hope it helped - try not to worry, that puts your BP up as well. 😊

Taking BP readings with such frequency and worrying about marginal increases and decreases makes for anxiety and anxiety bumps up your BP. BP readings go up and down throughout the day. Take readings less frequently unless the GP asks you to do otherwise. And ask her/him for a rough guide as to what high or low numbers should be regarded as worrying. So long as they go up and down within the "safe" zone, I wouldn't worry too much

I'd say thats normal. Your more active in afternoon, lunch will raise it anyway. Stop worrying,, your body isn't a machine, it's dynamic and will adjust to mood and activity like digestion, etc., so live and forget it.

Hi I am exactly like you a worrier. I’ve been doing my BP’s quite a few times during the day too. It’s amazing how they differ. However, please be assured as I’ve been by my doc there is no need to do readings every day. I only do mine on a Wednesday, no matter what I’ve been doing. You’ll only worry more if the previous reading was high, which will send the next reading even higher.

It’s hard but I can reassure you there’s no need to worry about your readings. Get your wife to hide the machine until you decide which day you wish to take your readings. My husband did it, please DONT worry. This is from a worrier, life’s too short! x

I have Meniere's disease(Balance disorder)and alot of people in a group on FB suffer with BBPV. I am one of the moderators of it. I was going to ask what medication are you on for your dizzy spells? As often when we are dizzy we tend to panic which can trigger off anxiety which sets off a chain reaction of flight or fight mode.

Other than that I would say your BP is quite normal and I also have LBBB diagnosed 9 months ago. Sounds like you need a hobby to occupy you temporarily.
