does anyone have an app they find helpful for logging blood pressure readings? We're nearing a Cardiologist appointment and would like to get a better overall picture rather than scribblings on paper. It's a phone appointment and hearing the question - "So, what's the average then?" whilst looking at the bits of paper with nothing but question marks rising from my eyebrows 😅 Highlighter pen has served to make the bits of paper look pretty! But honestly not much help for the 'what is it mainly' question.
Any suggestions?

hi I use an excel spreadsheet in Microsoft office and use it calculate averages. Haven’t got an app nor a monitor that links to one. So excel s/sheet cheap and cheerful!
Thank you. Unfortunately I've not a clue how to use that! Monitor doesn't connect to an app. I'd just like a stand alone one on the phone so we can see graphs/trends/lows,highs etc. Thank you though, I really appreciate the reply
Thanks, will read with interest, might help me too re a free app. I can only s/sheet on iPad. If not to hand I take a photo on phone, I do take mine at moment on waking up and before bed everyday, I want to give my cardiologist a good spread of readings so not one offs as lots can affect readings. Hope you find something suitable.
I use BP Journal - it calculates your averages, and presents everything on nice charts. It also has an option to export to pdf and email to yourself or doctir. My GP seemed to like the way it was presented.
It's really easy to use, it's free but does have occasional 10second ads. I'll add some pictures if I can.
App icon - purple box with white square and purple heart
I use an Omron Evolv monitor and downloaded the Omron Connect app, it has been handy for my appointments with the Cardiac Nurse and telephone conversations
Have considered, but quickly realised in this instance it wouldn’t be much use as with Severe Heart Failure only a stethoscope will give an accurate idea of beats per min as they don’t always all reach the pulse unfortunately.
hi I use a basic omron monitor and enter the blood pressure readings manually. It produces averages so I can look at the systolic and diastolic readings in a graph over the last days weeks or few months on screen or the list of individual readings . I used to have an expensive omron which synchronised with the app each time I used it and could do triple readings but had to stop using it as I have lots of ectopic beats and it kept producing error messages. The basic one plus the app is great . Sorry do not know how to send you a picture
I use and would recommend the Withings blood pressure monitor. It saves its measurements to their Health Mate app, which provides an average of BP, also heart rate. You can also get scales which link to the app to record weight and a sleep monitor and a watch for continuous heart rate monitoring and ecg as well. I only have the scales and BP cuff.
I use Google Sheets, it is simple and straight forward adding columns and calculating averages underlining, bold print and colored highlights emphasize the relevant data. By the way it is free!
'Blood Pressure - My Diary' - for android but possibly apple as well. Its very stable takes as many readings as you want and allows notes to be recorded with each reading. It backs up easily and its very easy to use the history section. You can get graphs, etc of readings and email or export your readings to anyone. Ive used it for years and its never let me down. Hope this is helpful.
Hi there - I have used Quardio for a couple of years now. it's bp but also shows "irregular heartbeat" too if it's happening.. Doesn't say what type of arrythmia but I know. You can send the readings to your clinicians. Hope that helps. D
