I know no one can give medical advice but just wanted to hear from people who have taken travel sickness pills with an arrhythmia and on beta blockers. My doctor said should be ok but then pharmacy refused to sell and said you cant take them with a arrhythmia. I get awful travel sickness and would like to know other people's experience with them.

Are travel sickness pills ok?
There are several travel sickness pills that you cannot have with beta blockers but I have found Piraton which is an antihistamine is OK and works well for travel sickness. If you look on google and type in the beta blocker that you are taking and interactions (eg Bisoprolol interactions) it will tell you all the tablets that you should take and also what the effects are if you did take it.
Hope this helps

I crew on a racing yacht with a local doctor, I had a similar conversation with him and he commented that throwing-up means losing ALL your ingested medication with potentially serious results. He recommends firstly focussing on the non drug based remedies such as acupuncture bands, ginger, sipping cold water, and obvious things like focussing your eyes on the horizon rather than a laptop. If you absolutely have to medicate for motion sickness most of the weekend sailors I know seem to favour patches rather than pills, chiefly because you can't vomit them away.
Good luck!
Thanks I have got some
Ginger tea to try I am going to do lots of coach travel across SE Asia soon and I will need to have some natural remedies as well as the perhaps travel sickness meds as I prefer to use natural remedies where possible perhaps I can try acupuncture as I am sure it will be nice and cheap in se Asia. I was on a Avanti train up north today and managed to vomit everywhere 🥴 whilst sprawled out across my table feeling awful and will frankly try anything to avoid it lol
I found travel sickness medication doesn’t work for me. I use acupuncture bracelets instead. I found I could go anywhere without travel sickness. They’re very good if you have balance problems too. As they are not medication they don’t affect my heart meds.
I have used the bands on wrists for travel sickness with brilliant results. Also had acupuncture prior to a long sea journey to help, The seas were quite rough and I was not sick. Hope this helps, have a great trip.
