Hopefully you have had it checked out by now as advised. Last year somebody I know said they had indigestion all weekend, and ended up being blue lighted and stented.

That's what happened to my hubby. No pain in chest down arms etc. Just thought it was indigestion. Ended up needing emergency bypass surgery.

To be blunt

Jaw and neck pain can be a serious sign of something being very wrong with your heart.

Please say you’ve called 999. If not call them now.

Take care

My first encounter with a heart problem was a pain in my jaw. It wasn't something publicised as cardiac related but once I researched it I realised it's a common symptom of a heart incident; worth getting it checked.

I had dull pressured feeling across outside of throat that got worse on exertion and radiated across my chest just like a burning feeling, as if I’d been sprinting in the cold.

On the back of this, what does the forum think of each of us posting our symptoms running up to the heart attack? I found my way here the day of my heart attack when Dr Google suggested the site.

I know Dr Google is usually the worst doctor ever, but actually some real life accounts of what it felt like I think would be useful - it was all a lot more subtle than I’d imagined a heart attack to be, and mild enough to ignore for a good while.

Also, women’s heart attacks seem to present atypically (although I personally think there’s few heart attacks present how the guides suggest!)

Hope you've got checked out and there was good news.

I just remember my mum complaining of toothache (she had false teeth) some 40 years ago. She sadly lost her life with a massive heart attack that evening.

All the best to you xxx

I had a chest pain lead up my throat and back of my jaw, I thought it was oesopheagal spasm that I have had before, I tried some remedies and it abaited for a while, it came back worse the following day and I took myself to A&E to be told I had had a heart attack and had a stent fitted, this was mid August and I am hoping to get back to work next week.

Not what you're looking for?
