I think you need to also take into account age, other medical conditions and the reason why you want it. Then when you have the quotes decide if you really need it.

Being a lifelong diabetic life insurance has always been an issue. I took out a policy to cover a mortgage but with the company being taken over by one of the monster companies decided with increasing equity and changes in the policy it was not worth a fig!

Try All Clear travel I took out a years travel insurance they are excellent , I had a heart attack last August

I had been covered at work and when I eventually retired last month I thought I should look into it. I considered the life assurance on offer and even looked at those they advertise on tv with no medical which are really little more than useless. I decided I didn't really need it - my sons are grown and there would be some equity in my property to bury me, although I try not to dwell on that thought too much!! I don't have much of a problem with travel insurance and use the All Clear comparison site.

Try boots the chemist I got an insurance from them as I was goi g to Tenerife in the December. I didn’t know they did insurance until a friend of mine had breast cancer and someone told her to try boots she did and got it for a year and was very reasonable.
