hello,i was wondering if there is anyone else out there that can help me or give me some advice,i have a condition called a.r.v.d (arrhythmogenic right ventricular displasia) and recently have been having trouble getting a quote for live insurance due to buying a house,i would like to get cover for obvious reasons but cant seem to get an answer off insurance companys without going through a long process of getting medical records which is not a problem,i would just like to know if anyone has the condition that i have got and have managed to get cover,if so who with and if its a silly payment every month just so i would have some sort of idea, any advice would be greatfull, thanks.

Being a lifelong Type I diabetic I found life insurance prohibitive initially until I went to a broker who had experience in these matters. It's worth taking half a day of work to visit a few as an experienced one (look for someone 40+) should know his companies.

Hi MichaelJH. Thank you for your reply. I will certainly look into that. I'm from the Manchester area.. i know its probably a long shot but you dont know any in this area do you? Thanks again.

I am afraid not as I live in Hertfordshire. A quick Google suggests "We Know Mortgages" and "We Know Insurance" in Manchester centre know their stuff - excellent reviews for the former. Worth a call I think as nothing to lose.

Hi,no I have not rang them yet,at tge moment I have 2 brokers on the case i'v just been refused of royal London and now they are trying zurich for me, I don't think they will have any success but il see what happens with them and then decide what to do next, probably just an isa I think, thanks for the advise.

Saga might insure you if you are over 50.....at a high price. Otherwise, as Michael said, brokers are the best choice.

Hi,I'm only 37,life insurance seems to me a bit of a scam, basically if your well and fine and we can take your money and not have to pay out then we will accept you but if there's a slight chance we might have to pay out in the future because you have an illness then we don't want to know, that's the impression I'm getting from them and to be honest it's not fair, thanks for your reply

Hallo again Wayne. When I was in my town's General Post Office today I saw leaflets for a life insurance policy from the Post Office. So you could pick up a leaflet at a GPO or Google for the details online & phone them re whether they'll cover your heart conditions. Good luck. Clare

I'm sorry to read that. Have you tried brokers? Google "ethical life insurance" & good luck with that. I never had life insurance.
