Choline Risk in Vegan Diets

There was just an item on the news just now about choline a vital brain nutrient. Vegans, and vegetarians already know they need to ensure an adequate intake of B12, omega-3 and calcium. The main sources of choline are eggs and milk.

That's interesting Michael, thanks.I have been following a more plant based diet since my blood pressure diagnosis so I will have a careful look at this.

Does make you think, ending up supplementing, because you gone vegan on plant based diet... if what you eat makes you deficient. I eat simple meals, nothing complicated and stay away from beef.... but love my bananas, kiwis, etc, and a bowl of porridge every morning 😁

I have book on vitamins & minerals, best sources and lucky to get sent a hand book on supplements by well known company. Best sources of all vitamins,’ minerals and oils is alway food.
