Warfarin & Vitamin Supplements
Hello, I’d suggest looking on the AF Association website where there are a coupe of factsheets about foods and drugs which can affect Warfarin and checking with a pharmacist too.
My husband takes Warfarin and vitamin D without any issues, but everyone’s different so I can’t say whether it would be ok for you or not.
Best wishes.
Whilst many people on Warfarin take these supplements their underlying heath conditions and overall health vary tremendously. What is good for A may not be so for B.
As with all vitamins/supplements you need to talk to your GP before adding these in. Vitamin K is a known issue with Warfarin but so is Vitamin E (in high doses), St John's Wort and many others.
I am on life long warfarin and take a multi vitamin which I buy at my local health food store. It is their own brand advanced formula does not contain any vitamin K but does contain the things you are looking for. The shop owner was very helpful ,the joys of a small local shop. I pay approx. £ 6.5O for 50 tablets.
Best wishes Mary
